I'm a postdoctoral scientist (Bioinformatics/Computational Genomics) at the Monash Institute of Medical Research in Melbourne, Australia. My scientific interests are focused on understanding gene regulation and system properties in complex systems such as the immune system and specifically hope to uncover system properties involved in gene regulation of innate immunity, inflammation and cancer. I use a combination of multidisciplinary integrative methods from genomics, bioinformatics, evolutionary biology, systems biology and computer science to achieve these aims. I'm also building software tools and databases to data-mine, integrate and visualize high throughput biological data sets and genome information.
