Requested Features Index

This is a list of suggestions for future Connotea developments, requested by Connotea users. If you have any suggestions or requests, please feel free to add them to this list. You can, of course, also email us direct at connotea@nature.com. Please use these request pages as a way of fleshing out the consensus on how a particular requested feature should work -- that way we have to make fewer assumptions when implementing it.

Each feature request is mentioned briefly below on this index page, then set up as a separate wiki page to avoid cluttering this page with too much text. The separate page for each feature request may contain explanations, examples, comments and discussion -- anything to help with fleshing out the request. Feel free to revise any feature request to capture the consensus of any attached discussion. Please follow the RequestPostingInstructions when you add or modify a feature request.

On this index page the requested features are grouped by the principal entity affected by the feature. The requests are organised in two sections. The first deals with the entities that are the heart of Connotea as a software system for managing bookmarks (e.g. bookmarks, tags, user interface, data interface). The second section deals with the rest of Connotea as a place and a community (e.g. the web site, the wiki pages, promotion of Connotea).

These request pages can be bookmarked in Connotea, so if you don't like the way we have organised them you can reorganise them with your own tags. See the RequestedFeatures bookmark collection for an example.

If you have a feature request or question of a wider-ranging nature that does not fit well in any specific category here, or covers multiple categories, it may be better to post it direct to the Connotea discussions mailing list. See the Contact Us page to find out more about the discussion list.

A space to host user generated content (such as journal club presentation slides), etc. RequestDedicatedBookmarkPage
