The Web document, Federal Laws Prohibiting Job Discrimination, Questions And Answers, by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), lists the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and of 1991; the Equal Pay Act; Age Discrimination in Employment Act; the ADA Act; and sections of the Rehabilitation Act as covering discrimination in the workplace. It informs what discriminatory practices are prohibited, and what that includes. It states that practices that have the effect of discrimination are also prohibited. It provides which employers are covered by EEO laws.
