Report of a project funded by the Outcomes Evaluation Unit of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners to evaluate the practice patterns of GPs who had completed the RACGP Training Program and those who had not. The study demonstrated significant differences between trained and untrained GPs in both service and prescribing patterns. The differences in practice patterns are consistent with a more discriminating approach to patient care.
