The purpose of this Subject Review Handbook is to describe the method and procedures for carrying out subject reviews in England and Northern Ireland during 2000 and 2001. It describes for reviewers and institutions the protocols, procedures and practical organisation of subject reviews from advance planning through to the publication of reports.
