40 Days of Rag on ValleyWag #6 - Hookernomics vs. Freakonmics?
John M Willis ESM Blog, (15 Mar 2008)
when Melissa Gira Grant Valleywag.com starts commenting on Sudhir Venkatesh I think of the scene in the Big Lebowski where John Goodman is yelling at Donnie telling him he is out of his element.

Does Your Hosted Provider Give You This Kind of Elasticity?
John M Willis ESM Blog, (14 Mar 2008)
A little over a month ago I switched my blog site over from Amazon’s EC2 to Mosso.com in preparation of some viral activities I was planning. Some of those activities did hit and Mosso has supported my traffic fluctuations brilliantly. Even though Amazon uses “Elastic” as part of the EC2 name it really isn’t elastic by default and would not have supported my web site activity over the last 30 days. Elasticity is built into the Mosso default architecture.

Phony PHD’s - Wasup
John M Willis ESM Blog, (14 Mar 2008)
Oh, here’s the best part, standard prices include a 3.5 GPA however for an additional $75 you can get a 4.0. In an enterprise/web 2.0 world why hasn’t Harvard and Yale figured this model out. Bedford offers a 100% money back guarantee. Harvard or Yale don’t offer that guarantee. The Belford model just seems so much more efficient and turnkey then the stodgy brick and mortar universities.

John M Willis ESM Blog, (15 Feb 2008)
I guess it’s 99. today for Amazon S3 customers. Man do I have timing or what. We literally moved this blog site server off of AWS this week in preparation for our move over to Mosso this weekend.

The Story of a Pathological Entrepreneur
John M Willis ESM Blog, (11 Feb 2008)
The world might have easily missed the fact that William von Meister invented AOL had Steve Case not shown up for his memorial service on May 20, 1995.
