A lot have been said about internationalization but a lot of people still do not know what these are. I am not an IT expert so I am with those who want to understand what this matter is so I am going to explain it to you without using much technological jargons.

We live in a global economy with interconnected markets. Still, software companies tend to target the local market first and with good reason. The local market provides a certain comfort level that the global market does not. Companies understand their own business climate, language, culture, and needs of their local customers best. However, overlooking the global market can hinder a company’s exposure to potential customers and increased profits.

Don’t use Spanish or any other language than English in your variable names, file names, function names, etc. Programming languages, scripting languages, OS commands, etc., are all based on the English language. So, why would you do any different with your code?
