There are young people today who believe the road to becoming a rock star is paved with hours of playing Rock Band or Guitar Hero. Of course we all know that isn’t true – in fact, these games can actually delay a musician’s progress. Playing the real guitar is absolutely nothing like playing a plastic guitar with five buttons. That isn’t to say, of course, that the games don’t have value – they have opened up a whole new world of music to a generation that would never otherwise hear it.
