Imatinib mesylate (STI-571) enhances antigen-presenting cell function and overcomes tumor-induced CD4+ T-cell tolerance.
Hongwei Wang et al.
Blood 105 (3), 1135-43 (01 Feb 2005)
Treatment with STI 571 enhances the T-cell response to vaccination and prevents tumor induced T-cell tolerance, probably by enhancing the antigen presentaing capabilities of dendritic cells (c-kit inhibition, increase IL-12, IL-1a and Rantes).
