Het Darwinjaar doet aan als een haast overbodige promocampagne voor de evolutietheorie; niet meer dan een herhalingsles. Onze westerse (en Belgische) bril vertroebelt het beeld. Elders wint creationisme, de leer dat alle planten en dieren hun bestaan danken aan een scheppingsdaad, sterk aan invloed. De cijfers liegen er niet om.
