This paper discusses how plans themselves are made out of situated action, and in return are realized in situ. Activity Theory backs up the understanding of work as situated planning and emphasises the connection between plans and the contextual conditions for realizing these plans in actual work. Alterations of existing plans are result of a learning process caused by derivations from this plan.
