Portal for games with a public health message, managed at the University of Illinois at Chicago. For example, the POD game, developed in conjunction with the Chicago Department of Public Health, trains public health workers for a full scale mass dispensing of medication in response to an event.

The Serious Games Initiative founded Games for Health to develop a community and best practices platform for the numerous games being built for health care applications. To date the project has brought together researchers, medical professionals, and game developers to share information about the impact games and game technologies can have on health care and policy.

This is the primary community of practice for those interested in making digital games about the most pressing issues of our day, from poverty to race and the environment.
